What “welcoming” means here
Destinations are ranked by how many of Entryora’s published passports can enter with visa-free, ETA, or eVisa short-visit access in the checker matrix. This is not a quality-of-life, safety, cost-of-living, or “best place to live” ranking.
Open score methodology
For each destination, open score = visa-free + ETA + eVisa passport rows (citizen rows excluded). Visa on arrival appears in the breakdown and is used only as a tie-break. Missing matrix rows are not counted as open. Adding passports or destinations to Entryora’s data can change ranks even when laws are unchanged.
How to use the ranked list
Search for a destination. Review the breakdown counts (visa-free, ETA, eVisa, VOA, visa required). Open the destination hub when Entryora publishes one. Then confirm your passport on the visa checker — a high open score does not mean your nationality is included.
Passport Index vs welcoming countries
Passport Index ranks outbound mobility of passports. This page ranks inbound openness of destinations across our published passports. Passport compare lines up two to four documents. Always verify entry on the official government site before travel.
