How to use this hub

A short-stay Schengen visa is usually applied for at the consulate or visa centre of the main destination (or first entry) country. EU pages explain the common rules and publish the harmonised application form; supporting-document checklists and booking portals are local. Always follow the embassy or VAC page for the country that will handle your file. Entryora does not host PDFs or sell appointments.

What this hub covers

Short-stay visit themes (tourism, family, limited business) under the Schengen Visa Code. It does not replace long-stay national (Type D) residence permits issued by individual member states, and it does not turn ETIAS (when in force) into a multi-year residence product.

Form versus local checklist

The Commission-hosted application form is a common starting point, but many consulates require their own PDF, online form, or appointment system. Insurance, itinerary, and proof-of-funds lists are local. Download whatever your handling state publishes for the date you book — not an archived pack from another country’s VAC.

  • Identify the member state that will process the file before you fill any form
  • Use the EU “how to apply” overview for process themes, then the local embassy/VAC for booking
  • Airport transit and short-stay visit are different products — do not mix checklists

The Schengen 90/180 calculator estimates days in the rolling short-stay window for planning only. Fee and processing-time resource pages point to official themes where we publish them. When home-affairs.ec.europa.eu or your consulate disagrees with Entryora, keep the official page.
